So the last time I bought foundation, an anti-aging product was recommended to me. Thinking that more is, well, more, I picked up a glycolic acid moisturizer to improve tone and texture.
And I used it on my face last night, and today, my face itches and burns. It's also red and blotchy, because I believe I've given myself a chemical burn. So I look like a lobster.
Apparently this is why vanity falls under the deadly sin of pride.
Oh a further note, I think this whole dressing your kids and dogs up like lobsters is really rad, but I hate it when they put them in pots.
And it's even creepier to put them on the stove.
So the moral of this story is, don't take things too far. Gradually phase in toxic chemical compounds that promise to be a fountain of youth, and for the love of god, dress your creatures up like lobsters, but, like, don't shove them in cooking implements. That's why they eat our shoes. And pee in them.

See, I really like the pot. Really completed the illusion for me. Not on the stove though, that's too far.
I think its about knowing how much is enough, and how much is too much.
Is that lobster I smell?
I think more people should carry their children around in pots. I don't know, it just feels right. However, I agree that putting them on the stove is over-the-top.
What kind of glycolic acid cream did you use? And what percentage is it? They didn't sell you the 8% kind, did they? Someone like you should be using a maximum of 4%.
Also, if it's Neostrata, and you decide that you'd like to try again, consider Reversa - it's basically the same, but a Canadian company and the products are actually made in Quebec.
Thanks for the advice. I tried a 4% - and I think I could probably use it once or twice a week, just not daily.
I will definitely check out the Canadian made product, though.
